Get Involved | Selamta Family Project pt. 5

Well friends, we made it. It’s the final day of the Selamta Family Project and The Archibald Project series. I hope you have a better understanding of two amazing organizations that I am honored to be a small part of.

So what’s next?

How to we get involved?

How to we help more children?

Where do we go from here?

Oh I am so glad you asked!! There are several ways to get involved!

I reached out to Marisa (learn more about her here and here!) this week and said look…what do you need, right now? How can I tell others to get involved? How can we help? And this was her response..

“We need monthly support. The most critical need is monthly support of our US Operations.

It’s certainly not sexy but it’s critical. The work we do on the US side provides the resources they need to the real work on the Ethiopian side. Our US operating budget is $150,000 this year. We run a super lean operation down here in FL. Our office space and utilities are donated. We have 2.5 salaries, foreign and domestic travel, exciting things like bank fees, licenses, insurance, legal, accounting & 990 reporting, fundraising expenses and marketing.

We do a lot on very little.

So far, we have $44,000 committed which leaves us needing $106,000 to meet our budget for the year.

We’re looking for monthly partners to join us in providing Forever Families and Bright Futures to incredible children and women who need hope.

Of course, you can always sponsor a child or family through our Heart & Home Sponsorship Program. We love that too! We promote that strongly through our website.

But our biggest need right now is to pay the bills in the US so we can keep making things happen in Ethiopia.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

So there you have it. Selamta Family Project is in need of funding for their US operations. If this series has pulled on your heartstrings in the slightest way, please prayerfully consider partnering with Selamta. Something as little at $20 a month can impact their goal! Every bit counts!

Getting involved looks different for everyone. Some have an ache in their heart to go and do. Some feel called to adopt. Some have the financial means to make in impact. Some are prayer warriors.

Every single person has a roll in orphan care.

If you’d like more information on how to get involved locally, nationally or globally please drop me an email from my contact page and I’d be honored to get you connected!

Luke 12:48 says, “to whom much was given, of him much will be required..”

Because The Archibald Project exists, fewer children will be called orphan. Storytelling CAN change the worlds, friends. Please join me!
