Meeting with this family filled my heart with joy. Their love for Jesus and each other was inspiring. I’m humbled and honored to capture this time in their lives. They are a true testament of scripture, “for those who love God all things work together for good..”

Jen (the momma) was kind enough to let us into her journey. Here is their story:

“I would like to officially and legally announce and welcome Cole and Landon to the Schumacher family forever! We have been so blessed by the Lord through this process.

In August of 2012 we lost our son Blake just after his birth. Our hearts were broken and many questions ran through our mind about what God was doing. However, since starting the adoption application last November there is nothing but evidence that God had his hand on us and our soon to be family. He opened the door immediately for us to meet Cole and Landon who we in foster care with old friends of mine. All said and done it only took 7 ½ months to finalize the adoption and seal our family together forever. For those of you who don’t have any knowledge or experience of the adoption process, this is probably close to record setting time for a domestic adoption. We completed adoption classes and certification in 4 weeks instead of the average 4 months. We didn’t have to deal with biological family drama or even termination of parent’s rights. We had wonderful social workers from the county and our agency.

Our Heavenly Father, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, deserves all glory for the family we have today. He never lacks to give us the grace and strength we need.

We do ask for continued prayer for our family, that we as parents would have wisdom, and that our boys would follow the Lord all of their days. Thank you to all our friends and family who have and will continue to support our new family!”
