Corbin Lee | 18 months | Giants Baseball Photoshoot

Tonight we played. I’ve been itching to do Corbin’s 18 month photos, with the weather being almost perfect, I forced us to carve out a bit of time tonight. I had a field in mind, but when we arrived people were playing ball. So we went on a search for a good field. We landed at my old elementary school. When we got to the school I was flooded with sweet memories. On this field I made flower crowns and rings in the outfield and asked (umm more like forced) Brian Oliver to marry me. On this field my parents probably realized my baseball days would be limited to elementary school. My sights were set on watching the cute boys play ball, not being out there myself. Playing in the school yard with my dad on Wednesday nights. Swinging on the swings together. There is something so adventurous about stepping foot onto a wide open field. Maybe I’m feeling a bit nostalgic because we watched The Sandlot this weekend, or maybe just maybe there is a bit of magic a field brings. It’s the same feeling I get every time walking into AT&T Park. From the moment we found out we were having a boy these images have danced in my mind. So tonight we played. We let Corbin run and stomp and throw and explore. I can only pray our boy has a love for this game as much as we do.
